Okay, so you’ll see from the photos that we haven’t actually moved into it yet, but that’s because after I put the last coat of paint on some trim, officially marking the completion of our office construction, I just couldn’t wait to snap some (not very good) photos of it. It was at the end of the day and the sun was setting so the light was bad, but who cares right?!….we started work on the office in June of 2017 and it’s now February 2018, so yeah, after such a long haul I couldn’t help but grab the camera! So here are a few before & afters….
There is no door yet – and in truth, there wont be. The doorways are crazy narrow in this house, and the doors take up so much real estate, and just really are not needed for some rooms, the office being one of them. We can’t do any doorway trim until the flooring is done in the adjoining hallway – and I have no idea when we’ll get to that project – sometimes it feels like our house is one big puzzle. Naturally I couldn’t wait to put something ‘decor’ in the room, so up went the curtains (wrinkles and all – didn’t even iron them yet), and two new rugs to go under our desks. I’m in love with this room, the last two days I have found myself just wandering around in there (with a goofy grin no doubt) planning out where everything will go once we move in….please tell me that I’m not the only one who does that 😉
